The house is situated near a minor country crossroads about 500 metres from the River Lot. It is possible to swim in the river and there is a picnic area and shingle beach by the bridge, only a 5 minute walk away. There is a paddling area for smaller children.

In 2007 we had the lower part of the garden terraced and turned into a large patio area.
